The company was founded in 1956 by Josef Lehner as a part-time venture. Today the business is in its second generation, led by son Helmut Lehner. Agricultural trade has been massively expanded since Helmut Lehner became involved in the company in 1980. The 12-volt spreading technology has its origins in 1989, when a regional snail calamity ravaged the agriculture industry. The company's area of operation expanded bit by bit, at first only within Southern Germany and then to Northern and Eastern Germany as well. Today Lehner produces a whole series of innovative products. For many products we are the European market leader. The entire agricultural trade and production of technology is handled by just 16 employees. With regard to technology, we've concentrated on innovations and final assembly. Carefully monitored final assembly ensures that the products we ship worldwide are of high quality. We currently export 37% of the spreading equipment we produce and we expect continued growth.
