Characteristics: very slow growth, little dark green leaves, leather red-coloured smooth trunk with bright green buds which become dark green when ripened. In May and June the plant changes its old leaves during the buds ripening.

Care: put the plant in fresh and windy places in full sun or half-shade; use cultivation soil well- drained with neutral ph; better to transplant it (it cannot stand water stagnation); water the soil only when it becomes dry; fertilize in spring using slow release fertilizer pellets. Use a preventive winter treatment against fungal diseases followed by an insecticide treatment with mineral oil and a summer treatment against acari.

Trimming: trim with sharp scissors or garden shears. Trim new buds (when ripened) before summer or in September/October. Do not trim in hot season (July/August).
