The Funke Irrigation Ring is designed specially for watering tree plantations in place of a watering lip or an irrigation channel, as required in the Recommendations for Tree Plantations published by the Research Association for Landscape Development and Landscaping (FLL) – Part 2, 2nd Edition, 2010. It ensures that freshly planted trees receive enough water.
The impact-resistant, weather-proof synthetic material ring ensures that the trees are watered properly while they are taking root: Water does not drain away, as it is directed straight to the root balls. At the same time, the watering ring protects the sides of trees from lawnmower damage and road salt. The curved bottom edge of the irrigation ring makes it easier to install in the tree pit. The component, which is available in a nominal diameter of DN 800, is fitted with a watering volume indicator on the inside so that you can monitor how much the trees have been watered (capacity: up to 100 l). It is simply placed on the floor of the pit, set up and connected to the joint – which has an EPDM rubber seal – using centring pins.
