INIFES (International Institute for Empirical Social Economics) is an interdisciplinary research institute and was founded in 1975.
Its starting point was the concern to conduct empirical research close to the practical needs of everyday political or business life. INIFES has remained true to this motto to this day, thus earning a reputation as an empirical research institution coverning a wide range of subject areas. Based on its roots and longstanding interdisciplinary research, INIFES has excellent competencies in both quantitative and qualitative social research.
As project sponsor, INIFES, together with the social partners Bundesverband Garten-, Landschafts- und Sportplatz e. V. and the industrial union Bauen-Agrar-Umwelt (Building-Agriculture-Environment), informs you about Qualifizierungsinitiative Garten- und Landschaftsbau (GaLa-Q I – the qualification initiative gardening and landscaping) which continues to develop the structure of further vocational training in gardening and landscaping. It is thus intended to meet the need for skilled professionals, to strengthen the bonds between employees and company and to increase the attractiveness of vocational training.
The three-year project GaLa-Q II, taking into account the regional funding of the New Federal States, started in summer 2019. The purpose is now to consider semi-skilled and unskilled workers already working in gardening and landscaping companies. Since the GaLa-Q I project was selected as “best practice” example, a transfer project (GaLa III) was launched, which aims at testing the contents at selected educational institutions more specifically.Furthermore, an interactive walkable exhibition format "Work Ability and Employability in Gardening and Landscaping" with subject areas (health, skills development, working conditions, leadership/work organization) is to be set up.
