MEGABLOC GmbH & Co. KG

It was Eugen Koch, who in 1935 laid the foundations for an independent transport company with the purchase of his first lorry. In the initial years primarily cement and excavation work were transported. In the golden 1950's the demand for additional building materials increased. Gravel, sand and concrete were in demand. In 1956 an ideal site in the vicinity of Rißtissen in the Danube valley was acquired for the construction of his first gravel plant. Meanwhile, with the vigorous support from both of his sons, Rudi and Gerhard, a waste disposal operation for business enterprises was taken over a year later in Metzingen. This section was converted into an independent company in the middle of the 1990's, Koch Entsorgung GmbH & Co KG and since 1999 has been part of the corporate group. U-plus

An additional column forms the section of special and heavy transport with its headquarters in Metzingen and a branch in Oranienbaum. At the beginning of the 1990's MEGABLOC emerged, which allows stones to be accurately stacked and lined up on top of each other. Initially this was only conceived for their own needs, but this idea has developed from the MEGABLOC system. At the beginning of 2000 they re-appraised market awareness and founded an independent company MEGABLOC GmbH & Co. KG.

A further "Mile"-stone was the foundation of MEGABLOC AG in the middle of February 2001 in Switzerland with its headquarters in Meilen.
