Consistent quality has a long tradition with us

As a Black Forest company of forging technology, founded in 1596, we can look back on a centuries-old tradition of iron processing and equipment production. The company emerged from the Schwäbische Hüttenwerke with the parent company MAN. The plant has been independent since 1996 and operates under the name SHW Schmiedetechnik GmbH & Co. KG. Our company headquarters are located in the picturesque Friedrichstal between Freudenstadt and Baiersbronn, in the northern Black Forest.

The blacksmith's trade has its "royal" cradle here in the former Black Forest steelworks. With our logo, we document the solid forging quality and durability of our branded products, "Made in Germany", on which the kings of Württemberg have already relied.

For our entire product range of hoes, shovels, spades, forks, scythes, rakes, or spring steel tines for the agricultural machinery industry, we use only high-quality special steels and refine them with state-of-the-art forging technology.
