The European Arboricultural Council (EAC) is a forum where delegates from a wide range of arboricultural organizations throughout Europe meet with the object of elevating the status and raising the professional level of competence within arboriculture. This objective is carried out by liaising on matters ranging from research and education to successful tree establishment and management as well as the improvement of safe working practices.
It will lead to a growing number of safer and more competent arborists and tree care professionals so that there will be healthier and longer living trees in towns, parks, gardens or where ever trees are grown to beautify Europe.
EAC is needed to coordinate and represent European arboriculture when advising and lobbying relevant governing bodies and individuals.
Furthermore, EAC is responsible for the European Tree Worker (ETW) and European Tree Technician (ETT) certifications, both of which are recognized European-wide.
