Bundesverband Garten-, Landschafts- und Sportplatzbau e. V. (BGL)
is is a trade and employers' association. It represents the interests of the German gardening,
landscaping and sports ground construction industry at federal level and in Europe.
In its twelve regional associations, over 3,800 predominantly small- and medium-sized member
companies are organized. Being service providers, they can be recognized by the protected
signum with the addition "Your experts for gardening & landscaping" and offer tailor-made,
individual solutions for everything related to green building. Currently, they generate over
60 percent of the total market turnover in Germany. Total sales in the green sector rose to
around 7.87 billion euros in 2017. The 17,177 specialist companies with a total of 117,131
employees achieved this milestone by providing a wide range of services.
