Timan A/S is an expansive and international Danish operating company manufacturing machines for goundscare, winter maintenance and street cleansing throughout Europe. The factory is producing the tool carriers Tool-Trac 245 S and Timan 3400 with attachments and the slope mowers, RC-751 and RC-1000.

The export of machines is growing steadily to a number of European markets. We design, construct and manufacture all the machines and most of the attachments in our factory in Denmark.

The tool carrier Tool-Trac 245 S is designed with many different utilities. It is the only tool carrier on the market with an integrated front loader making it useful as both a tool carrier and a front loader.

Timan 3400 makes the working day pleasant with its sprung undercarriage, low noise level and completely unique driver comfort.

The Timan 3400-series are with its big program of equipment usable in all four seasons. With the efficient sweep/suction system, the series are especially suitable for maintenance of outdoor areas.

Timan 3400 is an articulated tool carrier, developed for professional maintenance of all outdoor areas. In the development of the robust construction no compromises have been made with regards to materials and functionality. Timan 3400 is a versatile and maneuverable machine useful in all seasons with its wide attachment program.

Operator comfort

Timan 3400 is designed as an ergonomically workplace that creates the best environment for the operator. The cabin is spacious and the large windows provide a good overview and clear view to the surroundings. The cabin has easy entry and exit, a comfort seat and excellent suspension. All functions are operated easily and comfortably with the joystick, which is ergonomically positioned on the control panel in the armrest.

Low noise level

Timan 3400 has the lowest noise level on the market with approximately 68 dB in the cabin. This ensures a good working environment for the operator, while minimizing noise pollution in the surrounding environment. The low level of noise is created by the fact that the hydraulic wheel motors are suspended in rubber, general sound-proofing overall, and a Kubota engine that is noise reduced

Little vibrations

In the development of the Timan 3400 we have focused on minimizing the number of whole-body vibrations. The cabin and wheels are independently suspended – consequently no hard bumps and knocks in the machine and to your body, even when driving on an uneven terrain. The stiff pin joint in the middle of the machine means that there is no rocking from side to side.

Reliability

Timan 3400 is a very reliable machine. It has full hydraulic transmission and PTO so there are few wear parts and it requires minimal maintenance. Timan 3400 has an oversized radiator which prevents overheating and ensures high reliability.

Sweeper system – NEW and patent pending.

With the new patent pending sweep/suction system, you get the unique Tornado-effect which secures an incredibly high sweeping speed - even in ECO mode..

This powerful suction sweeper can be used most of the year for outdoor cleaning of pavements, cycle paths, narrow paths in parks and on larger areas such as roads and parking areas.

The noise level from the suction sweeper is exceptionally low so the unit can be used near buildings without bothering the residents - even in the early morning hours.

The sweeper has direct suction and no center brush or other common wear parts in the suction box.

The suction hose is under the cabin, which ensures optimal performance since this is the shortest way to the hopper.

The suction box is well protected so the risk of damage is minimal. It is suspended in floating position so it will follow the ground independently of the brushes.

To increase the sweeping capacity a camera can be installed behind the suction box, so the speed can be adjusted to the actual conditions. Under good conditions you can sweep with up to 8 to 10 km/h.

RC-751 remote controlled slope mower

The bush clearing slope mower is your strongest partner, when it comes to mowing.

When the grass is long and the terrain steep it is difficult, if not impossible, to mow or cut with a conventional mower, unless you take the "heavy" brush cutter on your shoulder.

Timan RC-751 excels with its low height, to be self-propelled and drives on tracks. It is also remote controlled and equipped with a flail mower that even cuts down tall plants. The machine does the difficult work with ease.

Timan RC-751 can easily cut down one to two year old hogweeds, small bushes and basal shoots. With a height of 60 cm, the RC-751 can work under the majority of trees, where you want to remove basal shoots and other growth. RC-751 is equipped with a professional approved remote control with an integrated emergency stop button and other safety functions.

Timan RC-751 slope mower is the strong partner, when it comes to mowing on slopes up to 50 degrees and places difficult to access. With its 750 mm working width, the remote controlled mower can work in most places and its low center of gravity makes it incredibly stable - even during difficult conditions.

The out-front cut means that the grass is cut in front of the tracks, which allows RC-751 to mow close along with walls and edges and the grass is not run over by the tracks. With its 345 kg, the RC-751 is transported easily on a trailer or pickup.

The tracks are suspended independently of each other allowing 4 points of ground contact at all times. This makes it easier to control the machine, because it moves steadily and simultaneously has a good hold of the surface, even if it is irregular.

With support from The Fund for Better Working Environment and Labour Retention, Timan A/S has made a study of the work environment when using remote controlled technology on a slope mower/brush cutter.

The result is a report that clarifies the work environmental aspects/effects of using a handheld brush cutter and a remote controlled brush cutter.

The report is devised on the basis of four companies using the handheld brush cutter and later, the remote controlled brush cutter. In total, 30 and 19 persons have participated in the study that is completed during nine months.

The report concludes that significant work environmental improvements can be obtained by using remote controlled technology when working with a brush cutter, and the remote controlled technology is easily taught

The physical load is reduced from the back and shoulders contemporary with obtaining quantitative advantages.

Remote controlled tool carrier RC-1000

Remote controlled tool carrier on tracks equipped with a professional remote control. The strong partner that provides a good work environment, when it is working on slopes and other difficult to reach places, where regular vehicles cannot be used.

With its low height and low center of gravity the Timan RC-1000 handles mowing, stump grinding and snow clearing on slopes on up to 50 degrees without a problem.

The tracks are mounted independently which guarantees a high stability even on steep slopes, as the RC-1000 always has 4 points of contact on surface.

RC-1000 works easy and safe on hard to reach places such as traffic islands, under district heating pipes, around storm water reservoirs, under solar cell panels and on highway slopes.

Long grass, smaller bushes and hogweed are easily handled with the flail mower on areas, where it poses a risk to use a regular mower.

RC-1000 works close to fences and other obstacles, as the mower mows in front of the tracks and does not run over uncut grass,

If you want a nicer finish on your grass, you can switch to the rotary mower in just a couple of minutes.

With the stump grinder, the stumps are easily and efficiently removed on steep highway slopes, where it is usually hard to reach with other equipment.

RC-1000 is an all-year machine, as it can be equipped with snow clearing tools such as hydraulic snow sweeper, v-blade or dozer blade and remove snow on steep and icy paths during the winter.

RC-1000 is the optimal alternative for handheld tools, if you want to avoid injuries of your back, hips and ankles. It also creates a good and safe work environment.

RC-1000 is a safe and cost-effective investment, as it handles the work of several men.

RC-1000 is a fully hydraulic tool carrier with a flail mower and with quick-switch as a standard, whereas the slope mower RC-750 is used exclusively as a flail mower.

With a working width on up to 1350 mm (rotary mower) and a 23 HP engine, the RC-1000 handles the work on both big and difficult to reach areas. RC-1000 is the most compact of its class of remote controlled tool carrier which makes it capable of working unhindered on very narrow and impassable places. The engine lies in the chassis so that the compact dimensions are kept, and even the most narrow places can be worked.

Tool carrier and mini loader Tool-Trac 245 S

With Tool-Trac you get two machines in one, as it is both a tool carrier and a mini loader.

The multi-arm is positioned on the right side of the machine which means that there is a clear view in front of the machine in contrast to traditional mini loaders with a tower on the front end.

The center of rotation for the tool carrying multi-arm is at the back of the driver's seat which means that the arm only swings 33 cm forward, when it elevates from the lowest position. The small variation causes the maximal lifting strength to fall by about 10 % from the lowest to highest position which is quite unique.

The multi-arm is equipped with hydraulic parallel lifting which is a big advantage when you are working with a shovel, pallet forks, and other equipment that should stay in a horizontal position.

On top of that, the Tool-Trac is fitted with a hydraulic quick-switch, so it is possible to switch between e.g. a shovel and pallet forks without leaving the driver's seat The multi-arm has a floating position for optimized leveling of gravel and so on.

Tool-Trac is articulated and has a turning radius of 65 cm and total width of 125 cm (105 with narrow tires). This makes Tool-Trac very suitable for e.g. narrow walking areas.

As a standard, the mini loader has a permanent four-wheel-drive with 60% - 40% lock between right and left side to avoid that the machine spins on one wheel even though the wheel elevates.

The low center of gravity of 64 cm and the stiff knuckle joint makes Tool-Trac a highly stable tool carrier and mini loader.

Comfort for the driver

The ergonomics on the Tool-Trac is of highest priority, and all functions are strategically placed within reach to ease the operation of the machine. The low entrance height of 40 cm secures a fast and unhindered access to the driver's seatThe driver is placed low and between the front wheel and

The driver is placed low and between the front and the the rear wheel which is the steadiest place on the machine. Therefore an optimal comfort is secured, even when driving on rough terrain. The low position allows a spacious cabin no matter the height of the driver.

Low noise level

Tool-Trac has a special exhaust silencer that reduces the exhaust noise. This makes it suitable for working in residential areas both during day and night times without disturbing the residents.

Operational reliability

Tool-Trac is constructed with the operational reliability in focus, so it does not contain unnecessary electronics that can cause the unwarranted breakdowns of the machine because of loose connections.

The joystick of the machine has a direct connection to the valves and only one electrical valve for e.g. the hydraulic height of cutting, the fluctuation of the dozer blade and so on. Components of high quality are equal to increased operational reliability.

Tool-Trac is equipped with well known components like Rexroth hydraulic pumps and engines, Kubota diesel engine, Gates hydraulic hoses, and EMB hydraulic fittings with o-ring sealing.

The machine is corrosion protected at corrosion class C3. All metal elements are sandblasted, followed by a zink-based grounded powder and a topcoat of powder. The space in the chassis is afterwards corrosion protected for an prolonged lifespan.
