Dorfer Green

Olive-green-yellow, fine-scaled, colour-fast, chlorite gneiss, streaked with yellowish epidote. It also has homogenous, regularly green areas.

Gauing travertine

Light to medium-brown, sometimes white-brownish, intensively patterned, porous Molasse travertine, with many fossil fragments encrusted in algae and cavities formed by calcite crystals.

Maulbronn sandstone

Fine to medium-grained, usually dark-red Schilf-sandstone with a characteristic structure. This dense and compact structure allows cuts "with the grain" and "against the grain".

Niedernhofen sandstone

Light to medium-brown, fine-grained, apparently homogenous, usually unpatterned and dense Schilf-sandstone.
