At Kern Tec GmbH, we are specialized in the up-cycling of fruit stones (Apricot, Peach, Cherry & Plum), a by-product of the agro-processing industry. We collect the pits all over Europe, mainly Spain, Italy, France, Austria, Poland and Hungary. Our headquarters is located in Vienna and our plant in its vicinity in Austria.
With the seeds inside the stones, we manufacture food products such as edible oils, alternative milks and plant proteins. With the shells, we produce abrasive powders for both industry and cosmetics but mainly gravels & mulches for landscaping activities. These innovative and ecological plant-based materials are sold under the brand KERN FLAKES ®. They present unique and beautiful optics with warm colours and an incredible lifespan over 10 years.
