• Put the soil in a flowerpot and lay the cat grass on top of the soil.
• Place tray in a warm and humid area away from direct sunlight.
• Grass will sprout after 5-10 days. Move pot to a bright location.

EASILY GROWN, PERENNIAL SPICE PLANT

BIGGY

Different kind that gets broad leaves with very nice aroma and mild onion flavor. The leaves are used fresh in salads, for herring, egg dishes, fresh potatoes etc. They can also be frozen for winter use. Do not let the plant flower, it only takes power from other growth. Sowing in October can cause earlier germination in the spring. Thrives on muddy, calcareous soil, preferably clay soil, but unassuming.

ROLL OUT CHIVE PATCH

They are just as easy to start with our patch. Chive can be started indoors or outdoors. Plant / roll out chives then water well.

If you’re planting chive patch indoors, place the pot in a dark spot in temperatures 60° to 70° F. (15° to 21° C.) until the seeds sprout, then move them into the light. When the chives reach 6 inches, you can transplant them to the garden. If you’re planting the chive patch outdoors, wait ’till after the last frost to plant the seeds. The seeds may take a little extra time to sprout until the soil warms up.

So many seeds / pot. Set cool and bright. Keep moist. Transplant in May.

WHERE TO GROW CHIVES?

Chives will grow just about anywhere, but prefer strong light and rich soil. Chives also don’t do as well in soil that is too wet or too dry.

GROWING CHIEVES INDOORS

Growing chives indoors is also easy. Chives do very well indoors and will frequently be the herb that will do the best in your indoor herb garden. The best way how to grow chives indoors is to plant them in a pot that drains well, but is filled with a good potting soil. Place the chives where they will get bright light. Continue harvesting chives as you would if they were outdoors.

HARVESTING CHIEVES

Harvesting chives is as easy as growing chives. Once the chives are about a foot tall, simply snip off what you need. When harvesting chives, you can cut the chive plant back to half its size without harming the plant.

 If your chive plant starts to flower, the flowers are edible as well. Add the chive flowers to your salad or as decorations for soup.

100% flower seed mixtures are notoriously difficult to sow when applying at just a few grams per m2. To ensure even sowing and correct application rates, we use corn skin granule as a carrier is recommended. This is natural and biodegradable.

PLANTING - TIME OF ROLL OUT

TURFquick Meadow can be rolled out from April to September, but the best time is late summer. That way the herbs natural rhythm is used. Many herbs grow the next spring after sowing, when the winter cold, which causes the flowers dormancy, is over.

We do not recommend that you roll out TURFquick Fields meadow directly onto an existing lawn.

CARING FOT FLOWERING FIELDS

In general, flowering fields should only be mowed once a year during the late summer, after the main flowering period. Mowing should be carried out with a rotary or flail mower, and the cut material should be removed from the area. Fields of flowers should not be fertilized. If large quantities of unwanted plants appear during the first year, it may be necessary to mow the field twice, mowing for the first time before the unwanted species spread their seeds.

ROLL OUT VEGGIE PATCH - LETTUCE

Turfquick® Triumph contains lawn grass seed as used on the football stadiums across in Europe.

This mixture is specially designed for the lawn of the wild garden. The variety is fast-paced and provides a strong and dense lawn that can withstand lively children’s games as well as cold winters. Triumph Classic grows even at 4°C.

An important part is the Quick Action® technology in the perennial ryegrass which is enhanced perennial ryegrass with fast and strong establishment at soil temperatures as low as 3°C.
