Here you can see the facade of the Hotel Concorde in Berlin on the Kurfürstendamm, now called Sofitel Berlin Kurfürstendamm. The material Kirchheimer Muschelkalk Kernstein cross cut, honed C60 was used for this project.

There had been quarries in the region for a long time when

in 1915, the first industrial processing plant was constructed by Karl Teich in Essing.
In the years to follow, other quarries were built and
in 1935, new factory buildings were constructed in Kelheim.

In 1986, the company was absorbed by Heidelberger Zement.
In 1998, four committed staff members prevented decommissioning
and founded Kelheimer Naturstein GmbH.

Our quarries are harbours of real treasures which we process with latest technology.

By acquiring the quarries in Kelheim, Wachenzell and Kirchheim, the company, which has been converted into Kelheimer Naturstein GmbH & Co. KG, can offer its domestic and foreign customers a selected range of high-quality natural stones.
