Our results for your practice
Already 100 years ago some documents prove experimental action in Landscape Gardening within the episcopal garden of Veitshöchheim. Since then our business is research for practice in landscape management, consulting professionals in landscape-gardening and continued education for master landscape gardeners and technicians.
In 1989 the Bavarian Ministry for Agriculture and Foresty established an independent department of landscape management at the LWG. Nowadays this institution operates with 4 divisions “research coordination and research management”, “nature and landscape”, “urban greening”, and “economy, management and landscape planning”.
We are landscape gardeners, landscape architects, landscape managers, biologists, geologists, agriculturists and forest scientists and since more than 30 years we develop solutions to start up, to grow and to cultivate efficient green spaces in settlement areas and open fields. Greening of extensive locations like roof planting, facade planting, roadside planting and establishment of vegetation on surface layers is our most important orientation. This contributes to climate conservation. Current projects are vegetation in paving joints, on roofs and walls, mixtures of seeds, mixed plantings for garden, park and open fields, conservation of golf and sports ground turf, greening in vineyards, refreshing of open orchard meadows, autochthonous woody species, infiltration of rain water with plants in infiltration swales and surface layers, clean waters in pools and wastewater treatment wetlands and irrigation of vegetaion areas.
The results of our research obtained admission to technical norms and general construction guidelines and addresses planners and constructors in landscape gardening. The education for master landscape gardeners and technicians participates deeply of the know-how of our engaged research engineers and master landscape gardeners. Our research institution is officially certified for professional training in landscape gardening.
