A cube in the desert
At the 2018 GaLaBau, we put the dualism of straight and naturally grown woods into a playful context. In a small desert landscape stands a transparent cube, which is characterised by uncompromising clarity. The squares of the cube are provided with various mesh structures that encourage climbing and balancing. At the center of the cube is an oversized swaying cactus. It can be a central meeting place in the small desert landscape. The ensemble is complemented by other cacti, for sitting and turning.
The cube can be expanded as desired. The equipment can also be designed in a variety of ways, taking into account the standard. Active and calm games, large seating groups and sand boxes with or without awnings can be built into the cubes. By colour accents the squares and edges of the cube can be emphasized, thereby increasing the space formation.
The depicted desert scene is only one of many possibilities to promote cross-generational movement offers and social contacts with transparent cube structures. The combination with elements made of naturally grown woods increases the tension and curiosity of the observer.
