Industry Software for Landscape Gardeners
In our Newcomer series, we introduce you to various exhibitors at our joint stand Young Innovators. Today we present: galabau workgroup
Every year, Andreas Kamp drives about 70,000 kilometres (44,000 miles) in his car to visit gardening and landscaping companies all around Germany. He works for galabau workgroup. The company is headquartered in Aerzen, southwest of Hannover, and develops and sells industry software for landscape gardeners. Andreas Kamp is responsible for implementing the modules at the customers’ premises. When talking to him, you immediately notice that he really enjoys his work.
“I learned gardening and landscaping from the ground up,” Andreas Kamp tells. “I did a vocational training as a landscape gardener in Neuss in the Rhineland area and then studied landscaping and green space management at the Höxter site of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts East Westphalia-Lippe.” The now 27-year-old gained his first professional experience as a construction manager, being responsible for up to 30 employees. In early 2020, he changed to galabau workgroup.
The company galabau workgroup offers galawork – a software that provides landscape gardeners with a comprehensive overview over their companies. It is specially designed for the provision of individual services from service specifications and can be individually expanded using modules. This means that even the basic version of the industry software can be adapted to individual needs. You can choose modules for file storage, device management, image handling, and time tracking. “We are especially proud of the performance recording with accurate positions in galawork and the resulting detailed evaluation of time values. This way, sources of error can be detected early in the project and managers can take countermeasures,” says Andreas Kamp.
A special feature in galawork is the maintenance module. It allows managers in gardening and landscaping companies to efficiently and optimally plan operations and provides transparency regarding the performance delivered. At the same time, the maintenance planning module is the perfect documentation software and makes controlling easier.
“By now, I have visited more than 120 customers at their premises to implement the software,” Andreas Kamp describes the last 4.5 years. “It is an exciting job. Every gardening and landscaping company is different and has its specific features. It is a welcome challenge to support the internal development processes of the companies.”
“With our software galawork, landscape gardeners can track their entire workflows,” concludes Andreas Kamp. “From starting an order to invoicing.” He is looking forward to the fair in Nuremberg in autumn. “We will probably have five employees on site at the GaLaBau 2024 to present our industry software.”
