Urban green climate-friendly
This was the theme of the GaLaBau Landscape Talks on 12 and 13 September 2024, organized by Patzer Verlag Berlin-Hannover and NürnbergMesse in Hall 2 Stand 2-303 at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre.
The number of hot days in summer is increasing and heatwaves are lasting longer. At the same time, biodiversity is declining and ecosystems are changing. A burden for people, but also for animals. Green space authorities, landscape architects, tree nurseries, garden owners and gardening and landscaping companies have reacted to this. What happens now? What are the solutions?
Playground safety:
Not always just an issue for gardeners and landscapers
As the operator of playgrounds, you are responsibility for the safety of the facilities, § 823 BGB. You check these through regular inspections in accordance with DIN EN 1176 - Part 7. this standard, you must therefore have the necessary expertise to inspect and maintain playgrounds and playground equipment.
At the GaLaBau Landscape Talks trade fair forum (Hall 2), the BSFH will offer trade visitors and exhibitors two days of presentations to provide an initial insight into what they need to know for the inspection and maintenance of playgrounds, play areas in schools and daycare centers, skate parks, parkour, calisthenics, multisport, outdoor fitness, dirt bike facilities and pump tracks.
The circular urban landscape
A cooperation between neext - the new European ecosystem for transformation and lala.ruhr - the laboratory for landscape and architecture as part of GaLaBau 2024
Our cities are landscapes full of potential that need to be used intelligently and productively. This is because the circular urban landscape promotes quality of life and biodiversity at the same time, uses existing resources and strengthens resilience. Cities and municipalities should therefore not design their real estate, urban spaces and landscapes separately from one another, but in interaction with one another. Because the city as a whole is a regenerative resource! How we develop it further will be crucial for the quality of life and competitiveness of our cities and locations
Urban and future designers discuss the circular urban landscape of tomorrow from different perspectives!
