Florian Zeitler is a very nature-loving person. He enjoys spending his spare time with his family – preferably outdoors. The 37-year-old is passionate about plants and their positive effect on the human environment, which is reflected in his choice of career. He is the manager of MobiGa, a company that offers mobile urban greenery for a quick, autonomous, and ecological upgrading of sealed surfaces.

“Cities and communities in Germany and everywhere else are currently undergoing profound structural changes,” Florian Zeitler says, and adds: “Our city centres are becoming more and more car-free and we are exploring new possibilities for improving the quality of the time spent there. At the same time, heat, aridness, and heavy rains are particularly severe in municipalities due to the high amount of sealed surfaces. This could be solved by creating a green infrastructure like the one we offer our customers.”

Florian Zeitler describes the MobiGa product portfolio: “I think our mobile vertical gardens are the perfect symbiosis of design, functionality, and ecology. We offer our customers plant arrangements in three different model series. But they are not only arrangements, they are living urban furniture with automatic irrigation that can be true rest areas. Another advantage is that our elements can be easily transported and rearranged. You only need a lifting cart or, for longer distances, a wheel loader with forks.”

The MobiGa start-up is based in Neustadt an der Weinstraße. “I come from Nuremberg,” Florian Zeitler says. “After going to school there, I studied Environmental Sciences in Uppsala, Sweden. I then worked in Berlin for a while, before moving to Neustadt in 2015, where I worked as an employee and took part in a research project. In 2022, my business partners and I founded MobiGa together.” Today, Florian Zeitler is responsible for administration and sales, finance, acquisition and customer relations, as well as organisational management within the company.

He is particularly pleased that their latest innovation has been well received by customers and potential customers of MobiGa. “We can now equip some of our mobile gardens with a system for producing high-pressure water mist for cooling the air. With this spray – it uses hygienically safe water – the direct surroundings can be cooled by up to 12 degrees Celsius.”

MobiGa is one of the exhibitors at the joint stand of the International StartUp Area. This area is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and can be found in Hall 3C. NürnbergMesse offers companies in the International StartUp Area special conditions for participating in GaLaBau, the leading International Trade Fair for Urban Green and Open Spaces (www.galabau-messe.com/en). The fair takes place from 11 – 14 September 2024.
