System Solutions for Green Roofs

The company Greenfond is based in Opole, Poland. The city of 120,000 inhabitants is located in the south of the country, roughly halfway between Wroclaw and Katowice. From there, the company exports supplies to construction sites all over Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. At the GaLaBau trade fair in September, Greenfond will introduce its product portfolio for professional green roofs – this will be the first time the company presents itself on the German market.

The 56-year-old Robert Cekus is the sales manager at Greenfond. He sums up the special features of his company: “We offer our customers several different green roof systems. Architects and landscape planners as well as landscape gardeners can therefore choose which variant is best suited to the planned area of application.” Robert Cekus adds: “Our diverse product catalogue covers systems for intensive green roofs, products for semi-intensive roofs, as well as offers for conventional extensive green roofs.”

“When building green roofs, it is vital that the required materials arrive at the construction site at the exact time they are needed,” Robert Cekus makes clear. “And this is one of our main market strengths. We are experts when it comes to logistics and focus on the best possible synchronisation between all parties involved in providing a green roof. You can always rely on Greenfond.”

Greenfond was founded 14 years ago and has considered itself a stable partner for the construction industry ever since. The company’s R&D department always has its finger on the pulse and in recent years has developed concepts for integrating photovoltaic systems into green roofs, among other things. Currently, they are considering solutions for green walls and for so-called “blue roofs” – roofs that can store a bigger amount of water. Robert Cekus is looking forward to presenting Greenfond at the trade fair in Nuremberg. “I know Germany very well, because I lived close to Frankfurt am Main for a while and worked as sales manager for a roofer supplier. I supplied customers in 14 European countries. My entire professional life, I have been associated with the construction industry. I have worked in this area ever since I studied civil engineering at the technical university in my hometown Opole.”

Greenfond is one of the exhibitors at the joint stand of the International StartUp Area.
