Root bridges are specially engineered metal structures designed to protect existing trees and permanently preserve their natural habitat. They enable the routing of paths and paved areas over sensitive root zones without damaging the roots or compacting the soil. Thanks to their structural design, they relieve pressure on the roots and evenly distribute loads—arising from traffic and usage—into the ground outside the root zone via sturdy steel girders.
