GaLaBau 2026 is much more than a product showcase. From 15 to 18 September, the international leading trade fair for Urban Green and Open Spaces will present numerous special areas and a comprehensive supporting programme in Nuremberg. Visitors will experience first-hand how professionals design green spaces, exchange ideas with industry experts and gain inspiration for future projects. The honorary sponsor of GaLaBau is the German Association of Landscape Contractors (BGL), while the event is organised by NürnbergMesse.
GaLaBau brings together decision-makers, skilled professionals, emerging talents and industry partners. A diverse programme of seminars, live demonstrations and discussion forums showcases the latest innovations in practice, facilitates knowledge exchange and creates valuable business contacts. At the same time, key future topics such as climate adaptation, biodiversity, solutions to the skilled labour shortage and digital technologies take centre stage.
GaLaBau CAMP: Meeting Point for Young Professionals
A highlight for young professionals is the GaLaBau CAMP (Hall 3C, Stand 433). Since its introduction in 2014, the BGL’s career platform for young professionals and skilled workers has established itself successfully within the industry. The CAMP is aimed specifically at young professionals interested in continuing education and professional development within landscaping and who want to actively help shape the future of the industry.
Visitors can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere for both professional and personal networking. A digital multi-wall invites participants to test their skills and compete with one another, while the chill-out lounge offers space for relaxation and informal exchange.
ZUKUNFTSRAUM: Digitalisation in Landscaping
New in 2026 is the ZUKUNFTSRAUM (Hall 3C, Stand 3C-405), a dedicated platform focused on the digitalisation of the landscaping industry. Here, visitors can experience innovative technologies up close, including AI-supported planning tools for more precise design work, paperless processes to improve efficiency and modern recruitment strategies for attracting skilled workers in a competitive labour market.
The interactive space provides forward-looking businesses with practical inspiration and concrete solutions for digital transformation, covering everything from planning and customer service to business organisation and operations.
Landscape Gardener Cup: Young Talent Demonstrates Its Skills
The Landscape Gardener Cup is a major crowd-puller. On 16 and 17 September, the industry's emerging talent will showcase outstanding performance in the outdoor exhibition area under real competition conditions. Eleven two-person teams, each representing the best entrants from their respective regional associations, will compete for the title of German Champion.
Working live in front of visitors and an expert jury, the teams will tackle a demanding task on four-by-four-metre plots. The competition highlights not only the craftsmanship and creativity of future landscape gardeners but also the diversity of modern landscaping, from sustainable planting concepts, future-oriented construction materials and advanced machinery and tools to expertise in green roofs and façades, water management and tree care.
Demonstration Areas: Experience Technology and Machinery Live
The Demonstration Areas, located north of Hall 12 in Volkspark Dutzendteich, feature earthmoving and grounds maintenance machinery operating under real-life conditions. Visitors can see first-hand how modern technologies work in practice and how they address everyday business challenges, offering significant added value beyond conventional stand presentations.
The live demonstrations help business owners and decision-makers evaluate potential investments. The areas are easily accessible by shuttle bus or via short walking routes from Halls 7, 7A, 8, 9, 10.0 and 11.0.
GREEN-BLUE PATH: Navigating Future Topics
The GREEN-BLUE PATH guides visitors directly to more than 30 companies showcasing products and solutions related to key future topics such as climate adaptation, sustainable urban development and modern open-space design. The format helps visitors quickly identify relevant innovations and discover new ideas for their daily work.
Registration for the free Guided Tours is available until 10 September.
BSFH Meeting Point: Platform for Sports and Leisure Facilities
The BSFH Meeting Point will once again serve as an important industry gathering place for professionals involved in the planning, construction and operation of playgrounds, sports facilities and recreational areas. Together with the trade magazine Playground@Landscape, the German Association of Playground Equipment and Leisure Facility Manufacturers (BSFH) will be present in Hall 1, Stand 1-415 and available as a contact point for members and trade visitors alike.
The focus is on professional exchange, current developments and personal discussions with experts and industry representatives. The offering is complemented by presentations at the GaLaBau Landscape Talks, which will address topics such as active play space design, inclusion, sustainability and playground safety on two days of the exhibition.
Audi Charging Hub: Experiencing E-Mobility in Practice
With the Audi Charging Hub, GaLaBau 2026 turns the spotlight on the future of energy supply and electric mobility. This special area demonstrates how intelligent charging and energy systems can transform urban mobility, fleet management and construction site operations.
Visitors will gain insights into topics such as energy trading and cost optimisation, second-life battery storage systems, modern charging infrastructure and mobile energy supply solutions for construction sites.
